Last Thursday we had a big play date at the Discover Place in downtown Charlotte. We met a big group of friends at the light rail station and rode the train downtown. The kids loved it and it really was a fun way to go, and very cheap! We played all morning and enjoyed seeing the big dinosaur exhibits, the aquarium, all of the science stuff, the rainforest and the fun kids room. We ate lunch and got back on the train with some exhausted children. They had a great time though and it is definitely somewhere that we will have to go back to.

Savannah and Caleb on the train ride homeLast weekend we travelled to Charleston, SC to visit some good friends of ours, Thomas and Janelle Pusser. Their 2 little girls, Maddie and Cayden are around the same age as Caleb and Kathryn. We had a wonderful time with them and the kids got along great. We went to their pool on Saturday to swim for the morning and then went to a restraunt called "Reds" that evening for dinner. It was on a marina, so the kids had a great time seeing all the boats come in. It was so good to see them and we are so grateful for their friendship!

Caroline and Roy Austin came over to play on Monday morning. The babies slept for a lot of the time, so Caleb and Caroline had a blast playing together. They really get along so good and are such good friends. We played outside for a lot of the morning. Caleb showed Caroline how to hit his baseball set. She was clueless and it was so cute. Such a girl! Caleb said he would be her coach. Here she is in the picture trying hitting the ball while Coach Caleb says "Strike".
Last night, Russ and I took Caleb and Kathryn bowling. We met some friends of ours that Russ plays softball with at the bowling alley. Caleb couldn't wait to go bowling and begged for it all day long. He was pretty good his first time bowling, but bless his heart he is still too short to put the ball between his legs and roll it down the lane. He had to hold the ball at his side and just throw it with all his might. The ball would take at least 1 minute to make it down the alley to hit the pins. He was very patient and very proud of himself. However he didn't last the whole game, he decided he would rather play around with all the video games!
Check out his stylin' bowling shoes!

nice recap of your week! The pictures were cute and so was the video of Caleb bowling. The pic of Caroline cracks me up. I don't think she'll be our family's athlete:)
