Summer is my favorite time of the year. I love hot summer days when we can go to the pool. Many of my memories as a child are of spending time at the pool. The smell of chlorine, swim team practice twice a day, spending hours upon hours at the neighborhood pool with friends, playing with all my cousins at my grandparents pool, my many birthday parties at the pool and I could go on and on. I LOVE the pool. I'm not much of one to go and play in the pool much now and I don't like to get my hair wet anymore, but I do love to watch my children play. Our neighborhood pool opened up on the weekends a few weeks ago. Saturday was a beautiful day, so Russ and I took the kids for the afternoon. They played and played in the pool with Russ and I. The water was still pretty cold, but even with their teeth just a chattering, they loved it and didn't want to leave. I can't wait for many more days spent watching them play down at the pool :)
Here are a couple that I took last night. Clayton is loving his bumbo now and enjoys sitting up and watching Caleb and Kathryn playing. They sure do keep him entertained!
Kathryn loves playing dress up now and this tu-tu is one of her favorites. She will wear it all day long with her high heeled play shoes. She is such a girly girl and I LOVE it!
