Caleb was so excited to see his basket filled with candy, stickers, a bunny cup, a jumping rabbit and a "Peter and the Wolf" DVD. For those of you who haven't heard, Caleb is obsessed with Peter and the Wolf now! Russ bought him the book and cd a few weeks ago and he has listened to it everyday, at least 3 times a day since! The cd plays for over 30 minutes and the narrator tells the story. Caleb will sit and listen to every word for the entire 30 minutes. He really loves music ~ I wonder why? :) He can even tell you every instrument that plays for the characters (for a later blog post). He absolutely loved the new dvd and we had to watch it right away! He was so excited to see that the music actually had a cartoon to go along with it. He smiled through the whole 30 minute video and then we had to watch it again!
Poor Kathryn didn't get very much in her basket this year. In fact, she didn't get anything new ~ I just went around the house the night before and gathered up the Easter stuffed animals we already had! She didn't know the difference and she didn't care! She just loved the plastic eggs that were in her basket and they kept her busy for a while!
After the Easter baskets, we got ready for church.
We came home from the Easter service and the kids took their naps. We had invited my mother's family to join us for the afternoon, but things didn't end up working out for everyone to come. Mimi and Grampy were the only ones that joined us, but we enjoyed spending time on the new swingset in the afternoon and eating a big Easter dinner.
Check out the swingset that Russ put together for Caleb. Mimi and Grampy got it for Caleb as an early birthday present and we are so excited to have it all put together. Russ dedicated all of his free time over the past week to put it together. He worked so hard and he did an excellent job. He really is the best daddy and husband in the whole world! Thanks Russ for all your work and thanks Mimi and Grampy for the gift!
We spent the afternoon enjoying the pretty weather on the new swing set!
Here Caleb is getting yet another Easter basket! He really racked it up this year ~ he is very spoiled! Mimi and Grampy brought him a basket filled with more candy, some sunglasses, a lion ball, cheetos, m&m cookies, bubble gum (which he is learning how to chew) and some ice cream money to use when the ice cream truck comes through our neighborhood!

Oh, I forgot to add that I'm glad you kept Caleb's saddle shoes! They're adorable!!!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that "recycles" toys!! Sara is starting to catch on though, so I guess those days are over. I'm glad you had such a nice weekend. The kids look so precious!
