Ice Cream!

This afternoon while we were playing outside in the driveway, we heard some fun music coming from down the street. I thought to myself, that sounds like an icecream truck, but surely it isn't because it is the middle of March! Caleb kept wanting to know where the music was coming from and I didn't want to tell him what I thought it was until I knew for sure. I've never seen one in our neighborhood before. Well, a few minutes later, low and behold there comes the ice cream truck! Caleb was so excited and he kept saying "mommy, please can I have some icecream, please?" Nevermind it was 5:15 and dinner was right around the corner, I just couldn't possibly say no to his sweet, polite little voice. We flagged down the truck and made him wait while we ran inside to get some money. I mean, who doesn't want icecream when there are soooo many choices on the icecream truck? It brought back many memories of hot summer days as a child. My favorite was the mickey mouse ice cream, but that wasn't one of the choices today :( They did have a snoopy, but I couldn't talk Caleb into that one! He got to choose his icecream and of course he chose chocolate. He takes after his Daddy and his Nana (both big chocolate lovers!) He was so excited about his icecream. I only let him eat part of it because I knew he wouldn't be hungry for supper. We put the other half in the freezer for later. I just had to share the pictures of my little icecream lover! It was a fun way to enjoy the ending of a beautiful day! It's just hard to believe it is not even spring time yet!
