Kathryn's 2nd Birthday Party

The Birthday Girl

We had a small, but fun birthday party for Kathryn yesterday afternoon. I ended up having to plan the party at the last minute because we have been out of town so much recently. We decided to just invite a few close friend's of Kathryn's to come and have a backyard water party. Kathryn loved being the center of attention and it was so fun watching her. Kathryn wore a little birthday outfit that Mimi made for her. Thanks for making it at the last minute mom - it was perfect!

We filled up our dinosaur pool, set up the slip 'n slide, put another little baby pool at the bottom of the slide and put on a bubble blower. The kids had fun going from the pool to the slide, to the slip 'n' slide, the swings and so on. It was a HOT day outside, so all the adults were roasting, but the kids didn't seem to mind!

Kathryn absolutely loved it when we sang "Happy Birthday" to her. She was so excited that everyone was singing that she just joined right in. That girl loves to sing! She chowed into her birthday cake too and ate just about every bit of it. It was a big piece too!

She was really into opening her presents this year. Much more than Caleb was at 2 years old. She wanted to open each one of them and was so excited with each one. She would oooh and ahh over her presents. She was so cute! She got some really cute gifts too, so she love it! Of course, the bigger kids loved helping her open her presents too.

We gave her a new little tricycle so that she can learn to keep up with her big brother!

Mimi and Grampy gave Kathryn a big blow up jumping ring. Of course Caleb loves it just as much as Kathryn :)
