Yesterday we had a very busy day, in fact it was the busiest one since Kathryn was born. It was very fun though! We woke up early and got ready for a fun day at our church. The church has just finished building a new education wing and it's grand opening was yesterday. It is absolutely awesome! It has lots of space, top of the line EVERYTHING, murals all over the walls, etc. To celebrate that, Carmel did a huge fun park in the parking lot. There wwere tons of people there and lots of things to do. Russ and I decided to leave Kathryn with Nana so that we could spend some good alone time with Caleb. We got to the church around 10 and boy was it hot! Caleb jumped in the bounce house, crawled through a big tunnel, got to pet some pony's, a cow, a goat, some puppies and some rabbits. He loved that, but I was freaked out because he kept putting his thumb in his mouth after he would pet them. I guess I have to get over it though! We did rush inside after that to wash his hands :) He also got to slide down a big blow up slide. He had a blast doing that and he went really fast. I swear, he is not afraid of anything! The people working the slide were very impressed because Caleb was so little and going so fast down the slide. Caleb figured out on his own that he could turn on his stomach and go faster. Even the big kids didn't figure that out! After the slides we ate some lunch with some friends. Hotdogs and rice krispy treats - what a healthy meal! Caleb was about exhausted at this point, so we decided to ride the train around the parking lot and then go home. He loved the train, but he didn't like waiting in line! He was asleep within 2 minutes of getting in the car. We came home to Kathryn and Nana and then Nana took Caleb to her house to spend the night.
Russ and I rushed to get ready and to get Kathryn ready and then we hopped in the car to get to Greenville. We made it just in time for my good friend Ginger DeMint's (now Rushing) wedding. Russ stayed in the car with Kathryn during the ceremony ( I wasn't going to be one of those people who take a chance with a baby crying) and then they joined me for the reception. We had a blast and Kathryn slept through the whole thing. She is such a great baby! She got to meet some of my best friends, Meredith, Laura and Ginger for the first time. It was so special that we were able to see them. After lots of talking, eating and dancing, we hopped in the car to come back home around 9:30. We made it home by 11:30 and then went to sleep. Kathryn slept very well through out the night and then it was very nice because we were able to sleep until 9:30 this morning. We didn't have a 2 year old getting that we had to get up with at the crack of dawn. It is nice to have a break sometimes even though we do miss him being gone! Boy were we exhausted at the end of the day though.
I wish I had some pictures, but I left my camera in the diaper bag!
