Caleb has had a loose tooth for the past couple of weeks. We knew that it was about time for him to start loosing his teeth, but I must admit that when he told me it was loose, I got tears in my eyes! He really is growing up so quickly! Yesterday he came home from school and started eating a chocolate chip cookie. He immediately bit into it with his front teeth and it was surprised at how hard it was. It knocked his tooth really loose, so he decided right then and there to pull that thing out. I was amazed at how brave he is. Loosing teeth almost make me sick to my stomach :) He was so excited that he lost his first tooth and we had to get some pictures!
Kathryn and Clayton wanted to get in the picture too :) Kathryn wanted to show off her picture since Caleb was showing off his tooth.
After he pulled his tooth I quickly had to get a tooth fairy pillow made for him! I've had it on my to-do list for a while now, but I thought I had more time! I whipped it together before he went to bed. Call me sentimental, I just want him to have this pillow for every tooth he has lost :) It has 2 pockets on the front, one for his tooth and one for his money that the tooth fairy brings.
Caleb was very concerned that the tooth fairy was not going to know that his tooth was in one pocket of his pillow, but I assured him the tooth fairy would know :) He finally trusted me and put the pillow underneath his pillow and drifted off to sleep.
And we had one excited boy when he woke up this morning. The toothfairy left him 2 dollars for his tooth. And yes, she did find his tooth in the tooth fairy pillow!

It came out! I know it's so sad when that first toot comes loose because it does mean they're getting older:( AND the chicklet teeth aren't far behind:)
Cute pillow, Jessica and cute idea! And I love the picture of him sleeping. He's just like a big boy sleeping with no shirt on!!!
Oh my goodness, Savananh lost her first tooth yesterday too!! It is sad knowing that they are getting bigger and will have permanent teeth soon. :(
I can't wait to tell Annie that Caleb pulled his own tooth out! Wow! You sound like me, hurrying to make the tooth fairy pillow!! :)
